I'm a third-generation crafter, inspired by my grandmother and mother, both sewers, knitters and fabric collectors. As a young girl making gifts for family and friends, I've always loved the joy of creating and giving unique items. This meant learning many crafts and skills, including woodworking, pattern making, needlework, textile manufacture and fashion design.
For many years I designed and manufactured fashion and homewares for my own shop, as well as collecting textiles and hand-crafted products from all over the world. Now semi-retired, living in a rainforest valley in the shadow of an ancient volcano, I'm inspired by nature, and have no wish to mass-produce or make any product that's a blight on our planet. Most of all I enjoy making one-off's, especially for children. Just love to see the joy on their faces when they meet my characters!
